Annual Meeting |
Our annual meeting
will again be held at the Great Falls Shrine Club (3162
Lingail Acres, 803-482-6319 http://www.mapquest.com/mq/7-udmmh6pH)
in Great Falls, SC on June 21, 2008. Board Members
need to be there by 09:00 and the all-hands meeting
(everyone) begins at 10:00. Lunch will be served. |

Tournament |
The 4th Annual SCHP
Survivors tournament will be held on Lake Wateree on
March 22, 2008. Flyers are being distributed and
mailed now. You can also download one
here. This tournament hosted by the
Law
Enforcement Chaplaincy for SC benefits the families
of fallen State Troopers in SC, NC, TN & VA.

Ed Duke has decided that the water levels
at Jordan, N.C. will remain steady enough to continue with
the schedule as is. The tournament set for Nov.3 at
Jordan is still on. |

The
members voted on the following change at the June 16
Meeting: SCA Classic Qualification: Members MUST
sign up for at least 5 regular tournaments and MUST fish
at least three of those 5 tournaments to qualify for the
SCA Classic. |

Ever
seen a "Gold" Crappie? Well here's one! (Click the photo for
a larger view) Glenn
Christie was crappie fishing at Kerr Lake, NC on Dec 14 when he caught
this fish. His fish species was identified by Christian Waters of
the NC Inland Marine Biology group. There has never been a fish caught
in that area like it as far as records go. He has the fish alive in an
aerated tank. |

SCA tournaments have, and will
continue to, begin at 7:00 a.m. Some of the older
weigh-in vouchers still show 6:30 a.m. If you have any
of these vouchers, please mark out "6:30" and change it to
"7:00" |

the 2005 Greenwood tournament, Nick Babin caught this huge
37lb. flathead catfish...on SIX POUND TEST LINE and an AWD
WOW Crappie Grub. |
