Kerr Buggs, VA. April 9, 2005
Lord, I know I
let you down so often, but you always pick me up when I fall. I know that I
don’t deserve the blessings you have given me but I thank you. Lord, we have
had nine events this season and some how you have given us rain and strong
wind in most of them. Mostly wind lord. So lord I am asking you on these
last two events coming up this season could you please hold off on the rain
and the wind, mostly the wind lord. Because if you don’t my wife may not
fish with me next year. Lord, if you won’t do it for me will you do it for
her because she is truly a good person. And one last thing lord, will you
let me win the Bluett Falls and the Classic events coming up. Amen!
Once again the
winds came with Southern Crappie to an event. It hurt some, but others
still managed to get by, like the father and son team of Butch and Paul
Arthur of Virginia. Butch has put together a winning streak better than UNC
this season at Kerr-Buggs. With close to 30 teams entered, he and Paul beat
the field by 3 pounds with a weight of 17.66 lbs. of slabs to take home over
eight hundred bucks. You probably won’t believe that they were tight lining
the front and pulling corks out the back. If you don’t believe me go fish
Kerr and he will show you while he takes your money. Fast trolling the back
of Buffalo Creek was Marc Danque from Chapin, SC. Marc took home over four
hundred smacks for his effort. The Clayton, NC team of Freddie Sinclair and
Eddie Clifton were tight lining Eastland Creek to bring out the third place
spot.
