Blewitt Falls Lake Results -April 23,
2005
Lord, I know that you know what kind
of weather I asked for on our last two events and I know that you know what
kind of weather we had. But also lord I know that you know how they messed
with the water levels. Well lord as you know my fished moved on me and when
I found out where they had moved to the wind wouldn’t let me fish there. You
know the results. My problem lord is that my wife can’t understand why she
isn’t having the fun I told her she would have because every single
tournament she has ever fished with me, the wind has blown or it rained or
both. Now she is talking about selling her boat. Lord I really like the
boat. I have a boat but I like hers better. Can you please let us have good
weather on our classic? I won’t ask you to let me win either amen!
That should tell
the story as the wind blew awfully hard and the lake fell to almost 9 ft low
on Friday then came up to 3 ft the next morning only to fall to five feet by
3:00. In this case it paid off not to pre-fish as the team of Warlick and
Bumgarner came in the blind and fished where no man had fished before to net
15.92 lbs. of chunks to capture over $1100 worth of prizes and cash. The duo
was fishing what they called a real fast tight line and trolling method
using hair jigs.
Taking second for
the third time this year but also capturing the Points Title for the year
was the team of Leatherman and Wright. Mark and Jim were tight lining
minnows off the river ledge to boat 12.95 lbs of specs for $440.
Tied for third
was the Raleigh team of Perry and Raper and Terry Stiller of Salisbury.
Each pocketed $217 for their efforts.
Our next event is
the classic on May 20 and 21 with close to $40,000 worth of cash and prizes
to be handed out
